Apple Orchard Punch


A quick and easy punch for any celebration !
 
For this you will need : Apple juice, Cranberry juice concentrate, Lemon-lime flavored soda and Orange juice.
 

 Mix everything and punch ready.Garnish with apple slices.

Ingredients:
1 (32 fluid ounce) bottle apple juice, chilled
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen cranberry juice concentrate or (64 oz) bottle cranberry juice
1 cup orange juice
1 1/2 liters lemon lime flavored soda.
1 apple
 
Directions:
Chill all the juices.
Mix equal parts of apple juice and cranberry juice.
If usinge cranberry juice concentrate, mix 32 oz of apple juice with 6 oz of cranberry juice concentrate.
Add 1 cup of orange juice to every 32 oz of apple juice.
To this add 1 1/2 liters of lemon lime flavored soda.
Garnish with apple slices.

Sweet Corn Chicken Soup



There is nothing quite as comforting as a big hot bowl of  soup.

To make this sweet corn chicken soup you will need: Corn,Chicken,Salt,Pepper,Butter and Cornstarch. Egg is optional.
 
An easier way to make this ever popular sweet corn soup is to make it with a store bought can of cream style sweet corn.But let's make this with homemade cream style sweet corn.

To make the cream style sweet corn you will need: Corn, Corn starch, Butter and Salt.


First, put a small bowl upside- down inside a larger bowl.


Remove the husk and the silk of the corn.Keeping the small bowl as base, begin slicing off the kernels
 Just keep going another round. But this time go all the way down to the cob.
 
 
Still there is some good stuff inside the cob.It is the cream of corn and it is delicious.Using a sharp knife scrap the corn all the way down to get all that milk and pulp.

And this is how your corn should look like when you are finished.


Next heat 1 Tbsp butter in a pan


Add the corn and let it cook on a low flame stirring constantly for 5 minutes.

Add 1/4 tsp Salt and taste the corn.If the corn is not as sweet as you like then add 1/2 tsp Sugar.


Next mix 1/2 tsp Corn starch


in 1/2 cup water


Once the corn is nice and tender, add the cornstarch


and cook it again for few minutes until it thickens. 
 
 
And this will give you 1 Cup of  cream style sweet corn.


Now let's start making the soup.
Cook the chicken piece in 2 Cups of water.Add 1/2 tsp Salt

and 1/4 tsp Pepper.
Once the chicken is cooked, remove the chicken and pour the chicken stock through a strainer in to a clean bowl.



After it's all drained transfer the stock back to the pan and boil.


Meantime shred the chicken.You will need 1/4 cup of shredded chicken and add it to the boiling stock. 
 
 
Then add the cream syle corn and cook it for 5 minutes.If you like to add egg, gradually add the beaten egg now while stirring the soup.


Mix 3 tsp of cornstarch in 3/4 cup of water


Pour into the boiling corn soup, and continue cooking for about 2 minutes, or until thickened



Homemade soup is beautiful !!

Corn starch - 1/2 tsp in 1/2 Cup water
Salt - 1/4 tsp
Sugar - 1/2 tsp (optional)
Butter 1 Tbsp
Shredded chicken - 1/4 Cup
Corn starch - 3 tsp in 3/4 Cup water
Egg - 1 (optional)
 
Directions:
Cut the kernels off the cob.
Heat butter in a skillet.
Add the corn,salt and sugar (if needed)
Cook it on low flame.
Add the corn starch and continue to cook till it thickens.
Boil the chicken piece with salt and pepper.
Once cooked drain the stock and transfer it back to pan and boil.
Add the shredded chicken and corn.
Finally add the egg and corn starch.
