The Best Chocolate Cake Ever with Chocolate ganache

Moist, fragrant,dark cupcakes with a rich chocolate flavor.


The ingredients are : All purpose flour,Sugar,Cocoa powder,Baking soda,Baking powder,Salt,Egg,Coffee,Buttermilk,Vegetable oil,Vanilla extract.

Directions : Throw it all together and toss in the oven..MAGIC !! It's that simple.

I usually dont have buttermilk when I want to make this cake.So this is what I do : Take 1/2 cup of Milk in to a bowl.Add 1/2 Tbsp vinegar and keep it aside.Within minutes it turns in to Buttermilk and works perfectly.


In another bowl mix 1/2 cup of hot water with 1 Tbsp of Instant Coffee powder (I used Nescafe..I like its taste) and set the bowl aside.

NOW LET'S START MAKING THE CAKE

Take 3/4 cup and 2 Tbsp of All purpose flour in a bowl

Add 1 cup Sugar

1/4 cup and 2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder.

1 tsp Baking soda..

1/2 tsp Baking powder..

1/2 tsp Salt..

Stir together.

Add 1 Egg

1/2 cup Strong brewed Coffee

1/2 cup Buttermilk

Stir together for a minute..

Then add 1/4 cup Vegetable oil

And finally 1/2 tsp Vanilla extract.

Mix it all together once again.The batter will be thin compared to other cake batters.

Spoon the batter in to a 12 cup cupcake or 8 or 9 inch round or square pan and bake it at 350 degrees F for 35 min or until a tooth pick inserted to the center of a cupcake comes out clean..

The best chocolate cake should be frosted with the best frosting. And so we’re going to make GANACHE!

You will need Heavy cream and dark chocolate (try to get the best baking chocolate.)

Bring 1/4 PT of  cream to a simmer. You dont need to boil it .

Chop 4 oz chocolate and throw it in to a bowl.Pour the hot heavy cream on top of the chopped chocolate.



And whisk it together until the chocolate is  melted and the mixture is smooth and glossy.

Now, just dunk the cupcakes upside down in the ganache.

Just for fun, here’s another little variation.
When working with a layer cake, pour the ganache into the center of the cake and spread the gananche with a large metal spatula.

Servings : 12 (Use 12 cup cupcake,8 or 9 inch baking dish )

Ingredients : (Adapted from : allrecipes.com )
  • 3/4 cup and 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1/4 cup and 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup strong brewed coffee
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions :
  • For Buttermilk - Mix 1/2 cup milk with 1/2 Tbsp Vinegar and set aside.
  • For Strong brewed Coffee - Mix 1/2 cup hot water with 1Tbsp instant coffee powder.
  • Mix flour,sugar,cocoa powder,baking soda,baking powder and salt.
  • Add eeg,coffee,buttermilk,oil and vanilla extract.
  • Bake it in a 8 or 9 inch round or square baking dish for 30 to 40 minutes at 350 degrees F.
