An easy and healthy side dish for white rice
Meanwhile cut the broccoli in to small pieces.
When the water is completely drained take the bite size florets and cut it again in to small pieces.
And then give it a good chop once again !
Next add 2 dried red chillies
Chopped Onions
Ginger and garlic paste and saute it for 2 minutes.
Then add 1 tsp Chilli powder
1/4 tsp Turmeric powder
1/2 tsp Salt and fry it for another 2 minutes.
Now add 1/2 cup Shredded coconut and mix it.
Then add the Broccoli .Cover it and cook for 4 minutes.
Add 2 Tbsp of water if it is very dry. Broccoli gets a nice dark green color now..
Finally add the cooked green gram and give it a quick stir...
Simple to prepare,delicious to eat !

Ingredients:
To make this you will need :Cherupayar/ Whole green gram, Broccoli, Mustard seeds, Dried red chilli, Onion,Ginger, Garlic, Turmeric powder,Chilli powder,Shredded coconut and Salt
Begin by adding 2 cups of water to 1 Cup of whole green gram.Let them soak for 3 to 4 hours.
After 4 hours,wash it and transfer it to a pressure cooker with 2 cups of water
Add 1/2 tsp Salt
and 1/4 tsp Turmeric powder and cook it for one whistle.
Wash them, then drain it and set aside.
Now chop half an Onion
Next take a small piece of ginger and a clove of garlic in your mortar
Smash it and make it in to a paste
And then give it a good chop once again !
Now heat 1Tbsp of Oil and add 1 Tbsp of Mustard seeds.

- Add the broccoli.Cover it and cook for 4 minutes.
- Add the cherupayar.
