Chicken Roast with no ginger and garlic.

The easiest chicken recipe I have ever seen!

Take 1 lb chicken

And for the masala ..Just two ingredients .Onion and Tomato.

And these are the powders that you will need.Salt,Turmeric powder,Kashmiri chilly powder and a secret ingredient!!

Heat 2Tbsp of Oil..

Add 1 sliced onion..

Saute it till brown.

Chop 2 Tomatoes..

Throw in the Tomatoes..

Toss it till it is cooked...

Then add 1/2 tsp Turmeric powder..

1 1/2 tsp Kashmiri chilli powder...(or  red chilli powder.Kashmiri chilli gives a bright red color for the curry )

 1 tsp Salt..

And finally the Chicken..

Next, stir it around ...

Close it and keep it in low flame...

Now lift the lid after 2 min ..You can see the chicken is slightly tender and juice has started to come out .Stir it occasionally and keep it closed.

When the chicken is almost cooked and all the water has come out of the chicken, start to make it dry..

Like this...

Now the twist...Make it in to a circle like this..
And the  secret ingredient...Ground black pepper !!

Heat 1 Tbsp of oil in the middle and put 1 tsp of pepper..

And continue to roast it till it is dry.You can add more pepper if you need..

Off the flame and keep it closed . It will not loose the flavor if it is kept closed...and the chicken will be darker...

See that...

Yum !

  3. Excellent dish, surprisingly satisfying. I made it for a guest who is intolerant of ginger and garlic, and we all ended up loving it - including kids. Thanks very much - I am going to try your other recipes!
